Mobile Email Design QA for Dispensary Marketing Teams

A mobile review should establish whether the approved message can be read and used on the devices being tested. It should not promise higher sales or treat every rendering problem as a deliverability diagnosis.

Give the production team a repeatable checklist and a record of what was actually inspected. The result is a clearer release decision and a more useful brief when something needs repair.

Choose the test conditions

Identify the email applications, screen sizes and account previews available to the team. Prioritize known audience environments where reliable information exists, while recording gaps in coverage. A single preview is evidence about that preview, not every recipient’s experience.

Save the template version and test date. Repeat the relevant checks after a material change to copy, layout or assets.

Review the inbox and reading order

  • Check that the sender identity is recognizable and accurate.
  • Inspect the subject and preview together for truncation or confusing repetition.
  • Read the message from top to bottom at the tested screen size.
  • Look for horizontal overflow, overlapping elements and text that requires unnecessary zooming.
  • Confirm that approved qualifications and footer information remain readable.

Use descriptive link text and inspect the space between nearby links. Test whether the intended destination can be selected without accidentally activating a neighboring element.

Inspect images without relying on them for every detail

Check image dimensions, clarity, alternative descriptions and the experience when images do not load. Keep essential dates, contact details and approved instructions available as readable text where the template permits. Review a reduced-size image on the actual layout rather than judging it only in the asset folder.

Treat image weight and loading behavior as usability checks. Do not claim that compression alone establishes healthy sending or guaranteed inbox placement.

Follow every destination

Open the approved links on the test device. Check the final destination after redirects, the accuracy of the page and whether the page remains usable at that screen size. Include preference and unsubscribe routes in the review, with appropriate test records rather than changes to real subscriber settings.

Keep design QA and sending-health review distinct

Record rendering defects in the creative checklist. Route authentication, delivery errors and complaint questions to the account owner using the separate sending-health review. A visually correct test does not settle those issues.

For outcome reporting, use the definitions and limitations in email measurement review. Fixing a documented defect is a valid production outcome even when a later performance change cannot be attributed to that repair alone.

Hiigher’s copy, design and campaign management services can support a defined QA process. Agree the test coverage, approval owner and remaining limitations before release.
