SMS Marketing

Cannabis SMS management
with clear responsibilities

SMS is a small space with a lot to coordinate. Hiigher helps cannabis teams manage the copy, timing and review work behind an agreed SMS program, keeping it aligned with email and the rest of the communication calendar.

We start with the account and the intended use. Available features, channel eligibility, audience permissions and release responsibilities need to be clear before production begins. Marketing management does not guarantee carrier acceptance or delivery.

Support for an existing program

SMS should add a useful, timely point rather than repeat a whole email. We help decide when a short message has a clear purpose, which permitted audience should receive it and how it fits with other sends. If there is no good reason for another message, we recommend leaving it out.

If the platform or proposed use cannot support the work, we identify the issue and keep dependent activity on hold. We do not treat another channel’s approval as permission to use SMS.

The work behind each message

  • Message planning: a specific purpose, relevant permitted audience and timing that accounts for the customer’s other marketing messages.
  • Concise copy: wording that communicates the approved information clearly within the platform’s supported format.
  • Coordination: alignment with the related email, destination page and other scheduled communications.
  • Account review: agreed checks of permission records, exclusions, message settings and available test evidence.
  • Approvals: one identifiable version for review, with changes recorded before release.
  • Status tracking: a clear distinction between prepared, approved, scheduled, sent and held work.

A process that leaves room to pause

We confirm who supplies the facts, who reviews the audience and who approves the message. We then prepare copy and any related creative, check the destination and bring the complete version to your approver.

A change to the audience, wording, timing or destination can require another review. Where an account issue or missing decision prevents release, we document the reason and the person responsible for resolving it. Afterward, we review the status and reporting the platform makes available.

Know what your agreement covers

Your proposal defines message volume, supported platform, locations, revisions and reporting. Platform subscriptions, message usage, carrier charges and third-party tools are separate from agency fees. Your business remains responsible for approved source information and the specialist advice it needs.

In our AIQ packages, a campaign pair includes one email and one coordinated SMS version within the stated allowance. Those prices and inclusions do not automatically apply to native tools in another platform.

SMS management questions

Can SMS be coordinated with email?

Yes. We can plan the work together while keeping each channel’s permission records, content checks and platform requirements distinct.

Can you guarantee that a message will be delivered?

No. Platform availability, carrier decisions and other factors affect delivery. We report what the available evidence shows without promising acceptance or a particular outcome.

What happens when a message is not ready?

We hold the dependent work, record what remains unresolved and identify the next decision. A deadline does not turn missing approval into permission to send.
