An email click records an interaction. It does not, by itself, prove that a campaign caused a later purchase or changed customer retention. A useful agency report keeps those measures connected without treating them as interchangeable.
Define the business question first
Agree what the client wants to understand and which measure can address it. A question about campaign delivery needs different evidence from a question about long-term retention. Avoid building a report around whichever numbers are easiest to export.
Record the measurement rules
Document the reporting period, event definition, attribution window and data source. Use the same rules when comparing periods. If the system changes its definition or a data connection is interrupted, explain the effect on comparability.
Separate association from incremental impact
Attributed activity describes the platform’s matching rules. It does not show what would have happened without the campaign. Where a suitably designed comparison is available, discuss its limits; where it is not, do not turn association into a causal result.
Turn the report into an accountable next step
End with a finding, an unresolved question and an owner for the next review. Distinguish operational recommendations from forecasts. Do not promise future revenue based on a past result or an industry benchmark.
Put the review into practice
Hiigher can organize reporting within the data and capabilities available in the client’s account. The proposal should define the reporting scope and review cadence. Explore Hiigher’s relevant services and continue with the email ROI measurement.
