What a Useful AIQ Marketing Audit Should Reveal for Your Dispensary

An AIQ marketing account can contain active campaigns, several audiences and a collection of automated messages while still leaving important customer needs unanswered. The presence of activity does not tell an owner whether the program is coherent or making good use of the platform.

A useful marketing audit connects the account to the customer experience. It should reveal where relevance is missing, which journeys need attention and what work deserves priority. The result should help you make a decision, not merely prove that someone looked at the settings.

Does list growth lead to a useful welcome?

Start with how people join the audience and what they are promised. A signup form, in-store invitation or campaign destination should make the value and channel choices clear.

Then follow the first messages. Do they deliver the promised information? Do they distinguish a subscriber from a confirmed purchaser? Is there a useful next step, or does everyone immediately receive the same promotion?

An audit should identify where the transition from signup to relationship breaks down. It should also distinguish audience growth from the number of contacts stored, recognizing invalid details, opt-outs and the difference between channel eligibility and total database size.

Do audience groups change the message meaningfully?

Review whether the program uses customer stage, stated interests and dependable purchase information to make communication more relevant. The goal is not a large collection of segments.

Ask what actually changes for each group. A category-interested subscriber may need different content from a broad audience. A first-time purchaser may need a different next step from a regular customer. If every group receives the same message, the segmentation may not yet be doing useful work.

The audit should also identify uncertainty. A field may be incomplete, outdated or misunderstood. Precise audience names do not guarantee precise customer knowledge.

Which customer moments are missing or over-served?

Look across the lifecycle: signup, first purchase, repeat purchase, loyalty participation and meaningful changes in visit patterns. Review what each customer could receive at those moments.

A useful finding might be a missing first-purchase journey. Another might be three overlapping messages that all ask a recent customer to return. The first calls for new work; the second may call for simplification.

Trace the next step as well as the email. A relevant message can still lead to a confusing destination or an explanation that assumes too much. The audit should connect those pieces rather than treat copy, design and links as unrelated tasks.

Is loyalty communication helping members participate?

Examine whether new members understand the value of the program and whether active members receive information relevant to their stage. Distinguish enrollment, benefit use and repeat visits rather than treating them as one engagement measure.

For accounts with supported AIQ wallet and app experiences, review how those tools fit the customer journey. Are customers given a useful reason to use them? Do notifications lead to a meaningful supported destination? Avoid assuming every member has installed or enabled the same experience.

Hiigher can support native AIQ wallet and app marketing within an agreed scope. That does not extend to custom app development or management of the dispensary’s entire POS and ecommerce operation.

Can you trace the number behind the claim?

Ask the audit to show an example, not just confirm that reporting exists. Select a purchase that appears in campaign reporting and inspect the attribution window, the recorded interaction and whether another campaign also receives credit. Overlapping attribution can make totals look additive when they are not.

Also sample a customer who shops at more than one location. Is that person counted as new to the brand or only new to a store? Does the welcome journey use the same definition? Those answers can change both the report and the message.

A click, an attributed purchase and incremental revenue are different claims. An audit should explain the account’s definitions and data gaps without treating every purchase after a send as proof of impact. These are diagnostic questions, not claims that your account has either problem.

Finish with priorities an owner can use

A strong audit separates immediate corrections from development opportunities. It explains the customer problem, the proposed improvement and the account capabilities or information needed to carry it out.

Keep the scope focused on marketing. Support for Dutchie, Treez, Flowhub or Jane concerns the agreed marketing portion of those accounts, not a blanket promise to operate every platform function.
